GST return filing

We prepare and file your GST returns from your sales and purchase records, check your input tax credit against what your suppliers have reported, and tell you what is due and when. You approve every return before it is filed.

  • An expert call to understand your business, volumes and current filing status
  • Input tax credit checked against supplier filings before each return
  • A monthly or quarterly scope agreed in writing before work starts

What the service covers

Included

  • Confirming your return obligations: monthly, quarterly under the QRMP scheme, or composition scheme returns
  • Preparing GSTR-1 (details of your sales) from your invoices
  • Reconciling purchases with GSTR-2B and the Invoice Management System, and flagging supplier mismatches to follow up
  • Preparing GSTR-3B (summary return) and working out the tax to pay after credits
  • Creating the payment challan for you to pay from your own bank account
  • Filing once you approve the figures, and sharing the acknowledgements
  • A reminder before each due date

Not included

  • Tax, interest and late fees payable to the government
  • Writing up your books or raising invoices — bookkeeping is available as a separate service
  • The annual return (GSTR-9) and reconciliation statement (GSTR-9C), unless listed in your quotation
  • E-invoicing and e-way bills, unless agreed
  • Replies to notices, audits, assessments or appeals
  • Returns for past periods, unless agreed. Returns cannot be filed once three years have passed from their due date.

Fees

Request a quotation

Fees depend on how often you file, how many invoices you have each period, and whether past periods need catching up. We usually quote a fixed fee per period or per year.

Your quotation lists each of these separately:

  • Professional fees for our work
  • GST on professional fees
  • Tax, interest and late fees, which you pay directly to the government

Who this is for

  • Businesses registered under GST, filing monthly or quarterly
  • Composition scheme taxpayers, who file a quarterly statement (CMP-08) and an annual return (GSTR-4)
  • Businesses that have fallen behind and want to catch up before any period becomes time-barred
  • Newly registered businesses that want their first returns set up correctly

Documents you’ll need

Every period

  • Sales invoices, or a sales register, with any credit and debit notes
  • Purchase invoices and expense bills
  • Details of advances received, exports and imports, if any
  • Bank statements, if we ask for them to check payments

Once, at the start

  • Your GSTIN and registration details
  • Copies of recent returns, if someone else filed them
  • Filing access: where possible you authorise us as your GST practitioner on the portal, so you don’t share your password

Don't send documents with your enquiry. If you decide to go ahead, we'll tell you exactly what's needed and how to share it securely.

How it works

  1. Request a call back

Send the short form or call us. An expert calls you to understand your situation and answer your questions.

  2. Receive a written quotation

It sets out the periods covered, what is included and excluded, and our fee per period or per year, with GST shown separately.

  3. Set up

We review your recent returns and registration, agree a date each period by which you share your records, and set up filing access.

  4. Prepare and reconcile

Each period we prepare the returns, reconcile your input tax credit and send you a summary with any questions.

  5. You approve and pay

You check the figures and pay any tax due using the challan we create.

  6. Filed

We file the returns, or you confirm them with an OTP or digital signature, and you receive the acknowledgements.

How long it takes

We work to the GST due dates. The usual dates are: GSTR-1 by the 11th of the following month (the 13th of the month after the quarter under QRMP), and GSTR-3B by the 20th (the 22nd or 24th after the quarter under QRMP, depending on your state). The government sometimes extends them; we confirm the dates each period.

The main things that affect timing:

  • Sharing your records by the agreed date each period
  • Your suppliers filing their returns, which affects the credit you can claim
  • Your approval and tax payment before the due date

Common questions

Do I have to file if I had no sales this period?

Yes. Registered businesses must file returns for every period, including nil returns. Late fees apply if they are not filed on time.

What is the QRMP scheme?

The Quarterly Return Monthly Payment scheme lets businesses with aggregate turnover up to ₹5 crore file GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B every quarter instead of every month, while still paying tax monthly.

Can I correct a mistake in GSTR-3B?

From the July 2025 tax period, the tax liability that is auto-filled into GSTR-3B from your sales return cannot be edited in GSTR-3B. Sales figures are corrected through GSTR-1A before GSTR-3B is filed, or in a later period.

I've missed several returns. Can you help?

Yes. We file pending returns in order, with the interest and late fees that apply. Act soon: returns cannot be filed once three years have passed from their due date.

Do I need to share my GST portal password?

Usually not. You can authorise us as your GST practitioner on the portal, and you confirm returns with an OTP or digital signature.
